  • Waiting for my “investment”queen-sized mattress to arrive at my house.  This along with going with opting to purchase my leased car, are my two big financial moves to get my life ready for next year’s festivities.  It all definitely makes working overtime and taking all the work I have been given at Georgetown, much more worthwhile.

  • I entered a new day yesterday… finally financing my own car.  My 3 year lease ended and after toiling with the idea of purchasing a new car possibly a Jetta, another corolla, a matrix, or a prius… but I decided to stick with my 2003 Corolla that took me cross country twice and whose fuel mileage just continues to amaze me.  Now I can get this ride upgraded! blinking lights, garbage pail kids stickers, and lasers…

    Happy days, happy days! :)

  • I saw Broken Flowers starring Bill Murray, Sharon Stone, and other older women.. last night with my gf… I am sad that I fell asleep a few times during the movie even after seeing full nudity from an attractive young lady.  But alas, it was almost too indie for me, like too many quiet moments and long camera angles… but we shall see what I think about the movie the more I have time digesting the movie.

working on a saturday means lots of overtime $$$! :)

  • Happy Birthday DAD!  Just returned from an enjoyable dinner at Hamburger Hamlet with the birthday celebrant, Mom, Don, and Monique.  It was nice to have the “family” all together.

My Lola left for the Philippines yesterday, I am glad only for the fact that my mom’s blood pressure can start to go down once again… I worry about both her and my dad sometimes healthwise.  Heck, I even worry about myself getting too stressed from work and developing something really bad internally.  My gf wants me to get a check up but I sort of don’t have insurance until January because Georgetown messed up my paperwork when they hired me.

Fantasy Football is basically in my mind all day and night.  I am constantly running through the drafts that I have already done, and the 2 drafts I still have to do in the next 2 weeks… it is crazy!

**edit** Just found an old school picture of me and my dad…

  • Oh, by the way, my Grandma is renting out her house in Bethesda located in the neighborhood between Grosvenor and NIH.  It is the house that I grew up in before moving to Derwood, Maryland.

It is a 3 bedroom house, with a kitchen, wooden floors, dining room, living room, 2 full bathrooms, laundry room with washer and dryer, 7 closets, driveway (though there is unlimited parking in front of the house, front yard, and big backyard.  The neighborhood is in the shape of a big circle with about 43 houses in the neighborhood, so no thru traffic and makes for a nice community.  There is a basement as well that has additional rooms and full bathrooms, we used to separate the top level and second level but we are unable to separate the two places anymore… so theoretically the house is much bigger than my description.

If anyone is interested then let me know and I will give you a personal tour of the house.  the rent we are asking for is $2200, but I think that that is well within the price zone for a house this size.  It is not furnished.

My gf can’t live there since she does not have roommates to live with…. spread the word!  Let me know asap!  Call my cell if necessary! :)

  • YAY! I finally won Redskins vs. Chargers tickets for November 27th at Fedex Field !!! I been bidding like crazy for these tickets and now that I have them I dont know what to do with them… maybe I will sell them again and try to make a profit :)

But I can’t wait to go to my first Redskins game, and against the Chargers no less!!! Should be a good game with both teams looking to have interesting seasons.

    I love Football Season!

  • This dating show on tv is very entertaining.  Basically they follow a bunch of women that go on regular online dates all in New York City.  Awww… very relaxing show as opposed to the deceit going on in Big Brother and the yelling in Hell’s Kitchen.

    Just a mini-update tonite.

  • Last night, I had a very enjoyable time going with my co-workers to the Nationals vs. Dodgers game.  This being my 4th Nats game, and it has definitely been relaxing catching some summer baseball with friends and beer in hand.  Having the Nats so accessible by metro and with the successful season they are having, really pulls the city together… quite enjoyable.
