  • So I was going to random sites on Xanga and I came across this… very strange website but had something interesting for everyone to have an opinion about.  Personally, I think that it is very evil to attempt to conceptualize filipina women, but I want to see what people think. It is based on a Filipina bride search website:

Why choose a Filipina? Women from the Philippines are noted for their beauty, grace, charm and loyalty. With their sweet nature and shy smiles, Filipina ladies posses an inner beauty that most men find irresistible. Filipina women are by their nature family-orientated, resourceful and devoted. What’s more, English is one of the official languages of the Philippines, so communication is straight forward, and as the majority of Filipina ladies are Christian, cultural compatibility is easier than some other Asian countries.

  • Question for you all, as the season for weddings fast approaches, what is everyone’s thoughts on not being invited to a friend’s wedding even when most of your other friends were invited? Is that a deal breaker that you dont invite that friend to your wedding? And this is barring finances and inability to locate you since if they wanted you there then they would make space for you… so ya, what is everyone’s thoughts on this? And yes, I constantly think of who will be at my wedding and the dynamics of invitations and important occassions. I will put in my answer to these questions later on in the day.

  • I was writing a friend of mine about my relationship with Monique and how we met and I liked it so much I would post it on here for everyone else to get the 5 minute recap on how I met my girl:

We met through a family friend.  Monique studies in NYU getting her 2nd masters.  She is directly from the Philippines and her family told her about a group in New York to hang out with for familial support.  That group were my parents good friends in NY, so Monique was adopted into their group and soon my name came up as a good candidate to meet her.  We started emailing and talking before we even saw a single picture of each other or met in real life.  We fell in love with our words and our reactions to one another, and that is one of the best parts about the whole thing and the reason why I know this will end happily.

    *** update (her response) ***

  • What a beautiful day it is outside, nice 65 degree weather, perfect day to get back into shape and go for a nice extended jog.  The kind of day when the birds are all chirping and the sun is smiling down on you with two scoops of raisins.

I still am working for the Gtown temp agency waiting for them to place me in somewhere there is a future rather than counting labels or making deliveries, but somewhere where I have more of a decision besides saying “paper or plastic”.  But oh well, I got some resumes out and so we shall see what the stars have for me.

Kinda odd writing on this xanga site and then having a new Friendster blogsite as well…

What makes it even better is that she will come back next weekend and stay for a whole week!  So come out and meet her!

  • Strange, I was just playing Yahoo Pool when the person I am playing says that they are from Nigeria and that their client just passed away and the authorities cannot notify any next of kin. The guy wanted to get my home address so he can mail the documentation to me so that I can sign off as the next of kin and the inheritance of over 3.5 million dollars would go into my bank account and he would then fly to the USA to get that money and he would give me 25%… isnt that craaaazy???

  • Definitely found it strange when I woke up this morning and there was no snow falling yet many schools and work places were closed.  It snowed last week during the work week and they kept us open, and now they close before the first snow even hit the ground.  Ode to pay off the weathermen to scare our employers.

I went to the Georgetown Hoyas basketball game yesterday against Villanova.  Quite entertaining eventhough we ended up losing.  My mom bought us the tickets so it became a good family outing.  I definitely saw some people I knew but chose to just not say anything since I hate small talk conversation, if I can avoid it.

Saw the Oscar’s last night and definitely felt there were no big surprises save for Incredibles beating Shrek 2. I think there are way too many analysts for these awards shows that hype it up but also take away alot of the surprise factors from it as well.  I am very pleased that Best Original Screenplay went to my favorite movie last year, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.  Jamie Foxx’s speech was so good, almost made a tear in my eye.

Just an update, it has started snowing!!!

  • I watched American Idol last night, the results show, and I would definitely have to agree with the first lady who got booted about not having the same exposure in the prior episodes as many of the other contestants. I mean there were alot of American Idol shows leading up to the Live shows and that was the first time that I actually saw her whereas the other people were on almost every episode. And how lame were the judges comments when they had to say something as to why the person was getting booted, “you have to perform every night and you just did not do that yesterday” — THAT IS SO LAME!

In other Wednesday night viewing, dont get me wrong that seeing Lana Lang in a wife beater, and then in traditional chinese attire was very hot, I feel this cosmic storyline is kinda week. I really enjoyed last week’s introduction of Krypto, the super dog, but this search across the globe for these Kryptonian metals is pretty weak. How realistic is it that Clark and Lana fly to China in a matter of a day without much jetlag??? Yes, I know I am overanalyzing a show about an alien with superpowers, but usually the storylines are a bit easier to follow.

Today is green shirt and brown pants day at work, another of Vince’s crazy “get everyone at work to wear the same outfit” projects. So we shall see how many of coworkers come in with the designated uniforms.
