  • Alas my time working at Georgetown Graduate Admissions is coming to an end… The temp job that took me through my birthday and thru the last 2 months will end for me next Friday, how sad. But it is okay, thus the beauty of temporary jobs. Today was definitely a big accomplishment as I got the entire office to wear red today, and next Thursday will be wear green day! Isnt that super duper great!!! I will post the pic later on tonite, it was definitely funny seeing people come into our office and see a sea of red shirts.

     



    Looking forward to a big 3 day weekend. We will be going to New York once again for my Tita’s 40 days after death ceremonies. I also get to see my girl whom I have not seen since last month, and before that since Thanksgiving… ode to long distance.

    I decided not to take a job that required me to count a whole lot of straws every day to leave myself available to apply to other more interesting jobs out there. So ya, that is just a quick update on yours truly.

    Big congrats to JEFF for making it on the Culture Shock team!!!

  • Quiet weekend at home.  Barely left the house cept to go to a family dinner last night.  Parents just arrived from their errands of the day and looks like for the rest of the evening I will be watching the Grammies…

  • Things are definitely looking good as I have definitely started to save up my money and almost back to normal with regards to expenditures and not flinching too much about fronting the bills. Being unemployed for a few months definitely was a learning experience as I was trying to save up as much money, but now my bank account is looking pretty good and ready for some more spending. The problem is I dont really know what to spend money on, so maybe this means just save up more and more to sort of start the next phase of my life up a bit…. like starting up a family and such. I dont have the most amazing job, nor the unbelievable income, but it definitely helps that I am happily living at home with my parents and that I get to save up from that arrangement. Definitely looking to hang out a little more in the DC nightlife and just seeing more people. I feel that the 2 years spent in San Diego got me a bit disconnected from some people… but I guess that is part of the transition.

    I am sure my meanderings dont make much sense sometimes, it is pretty therapeutic to just type it out and let it flow a bit… so my mind is a bit less crowded.

  • I was pretty much bed ridden all day yesterday with these strange headaches that come before more drastic flu like symptoms.  And now it is Sunday morning at 6:45 AM and I cant find anyone to talk to online!!! :(   But it is ok, I woke up at 5:30 this morning and just started going through pictures I had saved up on my computer and just made me miss everyone I have had pictures with.  It was definitely a blast from the past seeing alot of faces and how they will play a roll in my future and the good memories that were had.  I love my pictures of people that have effected me in my life, that is why I really try to make it a point to bring my camera out as much as possible so I can get another kodak moment.  If you dont feel that you have a good picture with me take one with me next time you see me, you never know when these pictures will end up in some slide show one day and you wont be in them!!!

  • YAY! It’s almost time for the weekend!  Guess what I will be doing for the most part aside from Superbowl festivities of course and a birthday party on Saturday evening???  Ok, well I purchased a new video game yesterday, Onimusha 3, and so I will be playing day and night to try and get as far into the game as possible.  I love these long epic video games that I can feel my life really passing me by, where real time is not as apparent as the time that goes by in the game, and where the blacks under my eyes definitely start to come out.

  • It felt good dressing up for my interview today, I even wore my glasses for the interview to look that much more intellectual and so the woman would take me a bit more seriously… it worked! She wants me to come in for my trial day on the job next Wednesday!!! YAY! Ok, so that means I have to wear a different color necktie.
