  • My mom is sick… I think it is just the cold flu since most of her friends in New Jersey got hit with something and my parents were just up this past weekend partying it up for someone’s 50th birthday. I never hear my mom say that she wants to go home early from work cus she is feeling that miserable, she is such a workaholic.  As soon as we got into the car to drive home she was out, in fact she is in a heavy sleep right now as she does not want to miss work tomorrow so she is doing everything she can to rest up… I love my mom.

In other news, my job prospects are starting to get a bit busy :) .. As some of you know, I have been temping at Georgetown U. for about 3 weeks now, and now I have been on a gig for the past 2. Get ready to be riveted! I work at the Grad School Admission office opening mail which consists of opening, sorting, putting together, highlighting the names, stamping, stapling, alphabetizing, and filing. Good thing that Georgetown degree is kicking in!  So basically doing the job I did as an undergrad, and which a trained monkey could probably do, I really felt like this has given me a swift kick in the pants.  I have been regularly combing the Washington Post job listings and sending out my resume to any place that looks halfway interesting, and I already have some interviews coming in.. YAY!  For instance, my tito is trying to set me up with some guy that will be there head of Immigration for President Bush.  Can you all imagine that?  I would definitely have to go shopping for some suits and more button-down apparel.  Also got a possible career shift job, I have to schedule an interview to work for an Advertising company which focuses on sports teams! Doesn’t that sound nuclear?  Like me going into Advertising just like Darren in Bewitched! Plus there is a position that just opened up at Georgetown for a Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Graduate Admissions (I know you all are excited about that one!).. so yes, these next few weeks should definitely be interesting, if the Advertising gig pans out I may try and move closer to the Leesburg office :)

I really miss my gf… :( , she will just miss my birthday!

  • OK, I just got a vision…. me running from Georgetown University all the way to my house off of Shady Grove Road.  Basically constituting of running/walking route 355, Wisconsin Avenue.

I dont imagine completing this big feat anytime soon, but I definitely want to start gnawing at it even if I had the whole day to do it.  I think it would be pretty fun, just go out and see how far I can go so that I can start to pace myself a bit.  And I guess I can just take the metro back home when I just cant go anymore… I imagine the whole walk to be around 30 to 40 miles…

Anyone interested in joining me to complete this vision?

    *** Update ***
Ok, so today they let us out early so I started on my trek… I jogged/walked from Georgetown University to Naval Medical Metro Station in Bethesda, not bad.  That is about 10 miles  :) … I can definitely see myself completing the 25 mile trek sometime in 2005 :)

  • Has anyone heard of this show coming out, “WHose My Daddy?”… what are tv show execs thinking???  What kind of a prize is it if the girl guesses wrong?  Does the real daddy step his ass forward and say “I’m yer daddy?”… How can any of the “actors” on the show actually try and pretend they are the girl’s daddy for more than 10 minutes?  SHeesh!  I have seen those shows on Maury Povich where the girl gets 15 men to test to see who is the father of her child, but this “Whose My Daddy” bit really does not go in that direction…  U know some tv exec just was bitter with Pedro Martinez leaving Boston and wanted to capitalize on his “the Yankees are my daddy” comment…

well I will prolly watch the first few minutes of this show to see if this is not one gigantic PUNK’D episode.

  • My gf has gone to the Philippines for the next 3 weeks and will return Jan. 17, so kawawa to me.. she is going to see her family and friends and feast on the yummy foods of home, so my heart and stomach will be for her.

Had a good night last night since I got to see my high school friends and just share in some good laughs… went to O’Donnell’s for dinner then went to The Last Mango for some more drinks and career conversating… definitely mind-blowing.

Today was eventful since I watched CLOSER with Cezar, then snuck in to watch Ocean’s 12.  CLoser was definitely a talking movie, like a whole lot of dialogue and sexual innuendos so if you are looking for that sorta a movie I definitely recommend it to you, plus you get alot of Natalie Portman’s ass and it is very nice.

Ocean’s 12 was a good flick as well, alot like the first movie like nicely wrapped up package and lots of good looking people.  Definitely love that Catherine-Zeta Jones had alot of screen time and just look really nice, I love gals with short hair… (cept my gf looks good with any hairdo)

  • Is it bad if I still want to believe in Santa?  I mean there are just so many things that are just unexplainable about the gift giving season

  • Back from another New York trip.. my Tita who is dying of cancer was doing really well and everything looks good for another week… that is all we can hope for at this point now that the cancer may have spread to her brain.  This whole situation is hard for my parents and their friends to see their once vibrant friend suffering so much.  Some days are good, some days are bad, but everyday counts and every smile from her melts everyone’s hearts…

I will write a later entry about my weekend, but thought this entry should just end right here…

  • Looks like another weekend trip to NY… drop me a line if you will be up around Manhattan area…

December 9, 2004

  • Life has been rather quiet with regards to my life here in Maryland.  Been traveling up to New York alot not just to see my girlfriend but to also be there for my parent’s good friend who is dying of cancer… so the next 2 weekends look to be spent in New York once again.

Also feeling very quiet about going out here in the Maryland, DC, Virginia area since I am still jobless and running out of money… so thus I refuse to really go out and really let it all hang out.  Just feeling bad for my situation and will definitely up my job search to start getting an income.  I do not want to go into the temp agency pool again, or at least not yet… so we shall see what happens.

I do wish that I can see some of my local friends at some point, I am free most of the weeknites so hit me up

ok, just some of my Thursday morning rant.  Gonna head to the Library of Congress to help my dad do some research for his job..

  • Day 2 of my experiment with Crest White Strips!  It feels funny and gooey, I cant talk when I have them on… sorta feels like it is working, but I will let you all know in 13 days if it is worth the $30.

Had a great Thanksgiving weekend!  Monique and her sister came down from New York to spend Thanksgiving with my family and to experience an American Thanksgiving. It was so nice to have my gf and her sister staying at our house, my parents were almost just as excited since they just talked and talked.  I kinda felt weird when i tried to get the girls apart from my parents since my parents were just always around.  Sorry none of my friends really got to see them this past weekend since we were so busy showing them around and hanging out with the family.  Yes, we are very much in love :) … engagement countdown 7 months, rough estimate of course!  (hehehe.. that is a xanga exclusive)

Heading up to New York again this wednesday night til Sunday, so give me a call if you are going to be in the city… my gf has a club night Thursday night so I will try and get you on the guest list!!!
