  • Another fruitful weekend.  I got to get some drinks with a good friend of mine that had just broken up with his gf.  I am glad I could be there for him and take his minds off of things.  Went to Brickskellar’s and ordered San Miguel Dark Lager, thinking it was the very yummy Cerveza Negra that I experienced during my recent escapade to the PI, but alas it was not… actually it was quiet strong.

Yesterday, Monique and I had a meeting with the condominium office where our dream condo is currently being built.  Here is a website of the place that we will be able to move into in March:

It will be a tight fit in the first few years, but the location is definitely going to be great for us and having the services of a hotel-type atmosphere will definitely be relaxing.

We will not be able to move in until March, so that will give us the opportunity to save money and plan accordingly.  We are both soooo happy to be starting this next phase of married life!

(We have 15 days to decide if this is the condo of our dreams)

  • Married Thoughts: Married life is beginning to settle in.. well considering we still live with my parents.  I do not truly think married life will really begin until we have moved out and it is really just us.  It is very awesome how much Monique and my parents really get along…

Saturday we decided to go out for a date since it has been quite awhile since we had been able to go out by ourselves and just enjoy each other’s company.  We decided to do dinner and a movie.  We settled with “Step Up”.  I think I saw this movie when it was titled, “Save the Last Dance”.  I think I wanted to see this movie partially because of the Sean Paul song and the crazy cool video.

Why do people have to die to get other people to dance?  :(

  • Packing is going almost too easy… I am just looking for more things to pack!

I spent the bulk of the day making Best Buy errands and compiling some dance music for the wedding reception.  That proved to be a tougher task since I wanted to keep the music clean which really eliminated alot of the more illicit and suggestive lyrics, which took out most of the 50 Cent and Fat Joe songs.  I don’t know why I started to get conscious over that but I just did not want to look over and see my young cousins or elders in the family frowning at the lyrics or something silly… so I decided on the more happy/party music like “Hey Mr. DJ” by Zhane, and “Check the Rhime” by Tribe Called Quest.

I am amused by how many extra copies I made of the music as well as the pics that I need to be sure get to the Philippines for the wedding… trying to cover all of the bases.

This entry probably is less coherent than usual… I fly out tomorrow at 1, but have to get to the airport around 9:45 to be safe with all the boxes that we are bringing.

K, it for now… maybe another update before I leave.

  • Good times on Friday, for my slowly becoming regular, Happy Hours at Tomb’s.  You all are invited to stop by sometime!

So I invited some of my old schools friends, D6 friends, and coworkers and got a small group to come out for some drinks.

I fly out to the Philippines on Tuesday morning and will be running errands today and packing up tomorrow… Everything still feels surreal and definitely going to hit the ground running with a full week scheduled before the wedding.  I will try and video as much as possible.

  • How uncanny… so I have my performance review in 2 hours and I open up my fortune cookie and the fortune reads:

YOU WILL BE SINGLED OUT FOR PROMOTION.

    Wish me luck!

  • I went to Bethany Beach with my friends and had a really good and relaxing time…. definitely great leading up to the big day.  So I got home last night and my mom’s first comment to me when I came in was “Why did you get burned?  It won’t look good for the wedding, sige!” (Mind you the wedding is still 2 and a half weeks away)… ay nako mom, you worry about the strangest things! :)

Here are some pics… I really missed having Monique there to hang with my friends…

    Here is my missing MO…
