Work stinks. Everyone is depressed and overly stressed. There is not enough positive reinforcement of the long hours and the continous yelling and heart jumps whenever we get emails from the boss man. So it is quite depressing and definitely makes me want to do the whole job searching. The big kicker that holds me back from really chasing down a better job and a better career choice, my wedding… cus well I am getting married and it will really be tough finding a place that I can leave for 4 weeks in July/August.
Wedding planning has been going pretty well though. Things are falling in place. My only agitation is getting those Save the Dates out… the WEDDING is AUGUST 4 in the PHILIPPINES!!! (ok, that should count as the Save the Date for all my xangites!)
I love naming my groomsmen and the entourage, though I wish my family was bustling with little people that we could make ring bearer and coin bearer… oh joy! my kids will be part of my friend’s entourages one day!

What an amazing birthday weekend…(my bday is really this Tuesday)
It definitely completely turned into one of the best weekend’s ever after one of the worst work days ever last Friday. After work, I drove to my Tito’s house for my fiance’ family’ last night in America. Work sucked, and I was exhausted from a rough week… I was running late and quickly ran down to the basement of my Tito’s house to be completely surprised and overwhelmed by a SURPRISE PARTY for me!!! You all do not know how long I have wanted my very own surprise party!!!
Only a few of my friends were there since my fiance had coordinated it and she did not know many of my friends to call. But the whole night was just perfect because I could mingle with many people and just forget about work. My fiance made me the happiest!
Then Saturday it only got better with the Redskins winning an odd game, but they WON and the road to the Superbowl marches on. I know that they are a long shot, but you really wouldn’t be a fan if you did not believe in their chances… I mean they beat Seattle and the Bears during the season! And I like our defense against Seattle’s offense, and I can’t wait for our offense to air out on their lowly defense…. YOU GOT TO BELIEVE!
And tonight I just came home from watching WICKED at the Kennedy Center… I really enjoyed it and can’t wait to purchase the soundtrack ASAP!
Oh, and I love talking and planning about the wedding!
It is really coming together

Watching the Redskins is easily one of the top 3 reasons why I love being back in Maryland! I have had the esteemed pleasure to see my first two Redskins games ever this season… the OT loss to the Chargers, and the dominating performance this past Sunday against the Giants on their march to the playoffs!
I got tired of all the bad publicity hovering around Lavar and just purchased a burgundy Santana Moss jersey, for Monique or myself… depending on whether she is watching the game…

This is too funny… Crank up your speakers, and the video only gets better the more you watch.

One week after getting engaged has really been like a whirlwind… I have not had the chance to really be social about the celebration and find myself working even more hours at work trying to stay afloat. This was easily the toughest week at work as I questioned myself several times on whether the work I am doing is truly what I want to do.
Deep breathe…

I wish I could write everything that went on this weekend and the days leading up to the big question… but I am working on an email that will be sent out in the next few days (so I hope I have all of your emails)…
So I will post some of the pictures that led up to the proposal and I guess this all shows how much of a photo whore I am about trying to document this special memorable event:
Us at Dulles after Monique found out we were going to San Diego
Just made it to the La Jolla cliffs to catch the Sun disappearing.
Then I sat next to her and told her that I had hadn’t given her her birthday gift yet… then I took out the email correspondances of asking my asking her parents for their permission to marry their daughter.
Yes, I had her take the photo before she actually saw the ring…
Placing the ring on her finger
She finally gets a good look at the ring.
The wedding will be in the Philippines, that is all I know. However, the month next year is still up in the air and we still will be in discussion this month. I hope to have more news and information for you all by the end of this month in time for the new year.
Thank you to everyone who has
