Hours away until I turn my computer off and load it into my car and proceed to Maryland. 3rd cross country trip, but this one is on my own… a nice personal challenge to just keep focused and relaxed the entire drive until I see that fateful sign: MARYLAND WELCOMES YOU!
I definitely feel as though I have grown alot since I have been out here. Lemme touch on some of the highlights of this little adventure out here:
-had a total of 4 roommates in 2 years… only talking to 1 of them.
-able to drive home every day along the 5 and witnessed some of the best sunsets I have ever witnessed
-managed to leave San Diego with about the same amount of money I came in with
-leaving with some solid purchases: ergonomical keyboard, brand new computer, some new clothes
,
-love swimming in the ocean
-renewed my love for a nice long run
-been hit on countless of times in Hillcrest…. by men
-really enjoy going to clubs, like I have feel I have to go clubbing every other weekend now
-realized that there is no place like Chu’s Cafe in Georgetown
-I love beef jerky, ramen, vienna sausage, spam, and bananas
-some girls are hot and just purely nice to look at… doesnt mean that they are nice
-I really love fantasy football and reality shows
-going to predominantly asian clubs definitely makes me feel taller
-there are many guys that dont know how to dance, and surprisingly there are many girls that dont know how to freak
-San Diego Chargers suck… Padres are good…
-San Diego is very easy to drive around, except they have some weird traffic laws like “No turn on Red”
-I rarely see cops and no one ever gets stopped for speeding tickets… where is CHIPS
-It is ALWAYS beautiful out here… overcaste in the morning always clearing up to perfect days
-San Diegans get cold easily.
-I dig the Hawaiian themes here, like Friday Hawaiian shirt days and the restaurants that serve Spam musabi (Da Kine’s)
-People like surfing during their lunch break and just before work and after work, and just all the time
-Cycling is big here, but yet so is over the line and horseshoes
-there are alot of yummy restaurants here in San Diego… definitely going to miss the mexican fooooood
-Comic Con is a MUST
-Not alot of people travel out of California… met alot of people that haven’t even left the state aside to go to Vegas
-random Vegas trips are great… and yes, you will always lose money in Vegas
Again, no one should take any of this stuff personally, just one east coasters thoughts on San Diego…
